South Ayrshire Branch of UNISON is holding its annual general meeting on the 26th of February, at 5:30pm in the Ayr Town Hall.
The AGM is a vital part of democracy within your union, giving you a chance to guide the direction of change for the year ahead. During the AGM, branch officer positions will be nominated and elected, reports from the current branch officers will be heard, along with any motions that are raised.
This year we have the pleasure of welcoming Mike Kirby, Scottish Secretary of UNISON, a role he has held for more than 10 years.
He has been a trade union member for almost 45 years. He was employed in local government for over 35 years in a variety of roles across Adult Education, Community Development and Social Work Services. He was the President of the Scottish Trade Union Congress (STUC) in 2010 and has served on the General Council for 28 years.
We will have a buffet and refreshments available, and fantastic prizes available through the raffle.
We look forward to seeing you there to show your support for your local branch.
